Week Eight

Walking Program

In everything give thanks, for this is the will of GOD in CHRIST JESUS concerning you.  1 Thessalonians 5:18

At the end of this week it is time to take our personal Stats to see how we are doing.

The challenge this week is 2 1/2 miles per day with abdomen toning for 3 and Strength Exercises for the other 3.  Do your favorites, or try ours. 

Walk 6 times this week:

Fitness Tip:  Toning muscles will increase your metabolic rate resulting in more calories being burned during your walk time.

Weight Loss Tip:  Keep extra veggies cut up, ready to eat when a snack attack hits.  Then you will be less likely to grab the convenient bag of chips.

Devotional:  Psalm 9:11, Psalm 33:2, Isaiah 42:12, Hebrews 13:15, 1 Peter 2:9, 1 Chronicles 8:16-36, Philippians 1:3. 

  • Gratitude, what does this mean to you?  Show appreciation for what GOD and others have done.
  • Praise, how many different ways does these verses show us that we can praise GOD?
  • Praise, what characteristics of GOD (faithfulness, mercy, patience etc...) are you especially appreciative of today?  For ideas just take a walk outside.
  • Praise, according to Hebrews 13:15, how often should we praise GOD?
  • Praise, what are the four reasons listed 1 Peter 2:9 that we should praise GOD for?
