Critters enjoying a Spring day!

Trim & Prepare

  • Trim wind damaged trees and branches.
  • Add soil to low spots of flowerbeds.
  • Remove all winter mulches and add fresh mulch.

Plant & Sow

  • After ground warms up, plant tomatoes, peppers, and other half hardy vegetables and flowers such as gladiolas, lillies, hedges, and wind breaks.
  • When temperature remains above 40 degrees, so tender bulbs (i.e. caladiums), tender annuals and vegetables.

Prune

  • Prune flowering shrubs.

TulipsGarden Planning and Design Tip:  Tulips are a colorful and cheerful way to announce Spring is the air.  Keep tulips attractive and hardy year after year by starting with healthy bulbs and planting them in a sunny location with good drainage.
