Post Natal Care

November 21

“And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut ..."     Ezekiel 16:4

"The umbilical cord of unbelief tethers us to an eternal hell."

The umbilical cord of unbelief tethers us to an eternal hell.  "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do."  Though the antithesis of the norm, the tube of our conception attaches itself to our father, rather than our mother, feeding us the poison of sin faithfully 24\7.  Like a helpless stillborn, we came forth with that cord wrapped tightly about our neck to strangle off any and all hope of life.  "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me."  Indeed, what a hopeless position to be dropped into; but that is precisely the lot we find ourselves in.  The spiritual gene defect we were conceived with, holds us tight till death do us part.  "The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies."  The volitional sin of Adam and Eve became the procreative, conceptual sin, we were birthed in.  Oh Dear LORD ... deliver us from the midwife of malice which met us at our mother's knees; and even now is seeking to secure our cord, and seal our destiny.

"... in the day that thou wast born ... I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live"  In the death throngs of our aborted life, while yet wallowing in the afterbirth of sin, GOD reached out.  "For when we were yet without strength, in due time CHRIST died for the ungodly."  The Word of HIS gospel fashioned the sharp two edged sword, which alone was able to cut the cord of hell's bondage ... Hallelujah!

"JESUS answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of GOD."  Our first nativity found us the victim of sinful heritage; the opportunity for the second finds us the conceivee, rather than the conceived.  "For we have not an HIGH PRIEST which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin."  In spite of the dire strait sin has left us in, JESUS wrote the Book on post natal care, being knowledgeable of our state, and how best to remedy it.

"Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones."
