GOD Guidance

May 6

"Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,"  Proverbs 6:7

"The slightest deviation turns to our deviance, and throws the entire life off course ..."

This has to be one of the most convicting verses in all the Bible; for in it, Solomon suggests there are some, who lack so much as the initiative of an insect.  Even in our churches, the paradigm of the sluggard is increasingly evident, is it not?  The great works of faith, past and present, were not birthed in vitro; but in the integrity of HIS presence, by those motivated solely by the MASTER.  We desperately need a revival of character born out of an inward leading as opposed to outward pleading.  Brethren, there be an ungodly inertia among us.

"Now the LORD is that SPIRIT: and where the SPIRIT of the LORD is, there is liberty."  The internal guidance of the SPIRIT is a delicate instrument, tuned to the Truth of HIS Word.  The slightest deviation turns to our deviance, and throws the entire life off course; leaving us to wander, having no guide, overseer, or ruler, but in a negative sense.  "As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of GOD."  Christian liberty is become license to the rebel church, and is thus the mantra for every conceivable excuse to sin:  For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh ..."

"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; ..."  While we should be going about the noble call and duty of all that behooves a child of GOD with tenacity; we are instead treasonous toward truth, and contemptuous toward the call.  "Howbeit when HE, the SPIRIT of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: ..."  Rendering all this especially odious, is that FATHER has not left his children without oversight.  GOD never daycares one of HIS own!  It is within the very ubiquity of HIS SPIRIT, that we practice our obstinacy, grieving to silence the direction we cannot live without; and into the vacuum quenched of HIS guidance, sin rushes in, to drive us like the most horrid of taskmasters.

"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."

Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
(American Poet)
"All I have seen has taught me to trust the creator for all I have not seen."
