Everything for Nothing

May 5

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto GOD."  Philippians 4:6

"... care is never shouldered personally, but supplicated Heavenly:"

If there were a single verse anecdote in all the Bible for worry, Philippians 4:6 would be as close as any found in either Testament.  The SPIRIT OF GOD reveals to us here the 'ings' of stress free liv-ing.

"For with GOD nothing shall be impossible."  Nothing makes itself out as the 'missing link' of spirituality; when in fact, it is true to its name.  If "nothing" comes knocking, it is not time to fall apart; but rather to call: 1-800-How Great THOU Art!  "THOU has proved mine heart; THOU hast visited me in the night; THOU has tried me, and shalt find nothing; ..."

"... thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful:" Anything can thrive, so long as nothing is denied!  Cheer up, care is never shouldered personally, but supplicated Heavenly: "Casting all your care upon HIM; for HE careth for you."

"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of GOD in CHRIST JESUS concerning you."  Biblically, thanksgiving turns anything from nothing into everything.  An everything for nothing proposition may not market itself on wall street; but when mingled with thanksgiving; it sells big on the very streets of gold in Glory.

"Take no thought for your life..."  If everything is not offered in prayer, nothing turns to anything, and robs HIM of thanksgiving; leaving us ... nothing in return for all our cares.  "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the LORD.

If all of these 'ings' be a bit hard to understand, remember that it is thought provoking by design.

"And the peace of GOD, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through CHRIST JESUS."

"The Bible is endorsed by the ages.  Our civilization is built upon its words.  In no other book is there such a collection of inspired wisdom, reality, and hope."
