“... who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"  Esther 4:14

"GOD doesn't mark time, HE makes it!"

Why are you right here, right now?  Why are all the circumstances of your existence just so, just now?  Have you ever stopped to ponder that the things ambiguous to man are absolute with GOD?  Sin jades our vision and short-sights us against the big picture of GOD'S will and intent for our specific lives.  While we live by chance, HE rules by choice; and from HIS vantage there is no such thing as coincidence.  WHO else would have thought to make a Persian Queen out of a Jewish slave?  Look around you, is it not the marvelous providence of the LORD which has you too at this juncture in life: "for such a time as this?"  GOD doesn't mark time, HE makes it! ... And believe it or not, "thou art come" to this moment, at this time, to do HIS bidding.  The "time" may require patience or urgency, it may be calm or chaotic; but regardless, you are here and accountable before GOD.  To faint is to fail in the crucible and either prove your strength small (cf. Proverbs 24:10) or your life reprobate [adokimos] ... literally: rejected after testing.  Mordecai understood the gravity of GOD'S timetable and conveyed it firmly to his cousin Esther.  "For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: ..."

King David, who had his share of the providential press of GOD in his time, asks in confident rhetoric: "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against HIS ANOINTED, saying, Let us break THEIR bands asunder, and cast away THEIR cords from us.  HE that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.  Then shall HE speak unto them in HIS wrath, and vex them in HIS sore displeasure."

This "time" you find yourself in calls for a choice: to either fear the king (man) or fear the king MAKER ...  "Now when JESUS was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, where is HE that is born KING of the Jews? For we have seen HIS star in the east, and are come to worship HIM.  When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him."
And in forming your choice be mindful that the latter is the: "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
