Kamikaze Komplex

March 15

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;"  Ephesians 4:23

"... plug our life into the Docking Station of Grace."

The mind of man is a very sensitive and complex mechanism.  It is literally the hard drive of the human, factory loaded with the consciousness of GOD, but corrupted with the virus of sin.  From conception then, it, like any other data base, is at the mercy of the programmer.  "Because the carnal mind is enmity against GOD: for it is not subject to the law of GOD, neither indeed can be" ... the data gathered is thus vile and the virus takes on a life of its own.  "GOD gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;"   The "spirit of your mind" could be likened unto a gyroscope with precise guidance capabilities when once brought back into kilter.  Left to itself though, the mind, off course in sin, eventually crash dives the entire life into the lake of fire (cf. Revelation 20:14-15).  How obvious this is, and yet how oblivious we are to this kamikaze complex loosed upon the minds of all creation.

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, ... full of grace and truth."  The Word of GOD is the only anti-virus capable of righting the gyroscope, purging the data base, and protecting against future corruption.  "For who hath known the mind of the LORD, that he may instruct HIM? But we have the mind of CHRIST ... Let this mind be in you, which was also in CHRIST JESUS:"

"be renewed" ... in today's text, is present passive.  In essence, Paul compels us here to plug our life into the Docking Station of GraceGet into the Word, and accept the daily  maintenance of the mind as performed by the MASTER of all tech support.

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of GOD."
