No Need

June 6

"But my GOD shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by CHRIST JESUS."   Philippians 4:19

"Any guesses as to who runs the ticket booth?"

The meditation and insight found in these words of Paul is astounding; particularly in the singular and plural which the SPIRIT employs.  Men invest their days and nights, wanting after their need(s); but GOD sees "all your need" as singularly bound up in HIM.  "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price."  Men view themselves as rich, when in fact, they have ignored "HIS riches" to their own bankruptcy.  "There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches."  Men diversify to a plurality of sources, and find security in fiscal redundancy; but Paul affirms that the singular source of all, save sin, is CHRIST JESUS: "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the FATHER of lights,"  Though in vain, men seek supplies from their gods; it is always to the froward neglect of the ONE true GOD WHO alone can supply the sole need of every soul.  "Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? or, what shall we drink? or, wherewithal shall we be clothed?  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly FATHER knoweth that ye have need of all these things".

To this day, the Wilderness Wanton Walkway is flush with the business of the masses who have no need of GOD.  "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."  This trail to tragedy is jammed with the self sufficient in sin who have purchased a lifetime membership of ignorance at the cost of their own soul.  What should be a short journey from any heart to the Throne of GOD, instead dizzies those engaged in their own supply to a zombie like consistency; while entire lives go to waste, walking in circles.  Any guesses as to who runs the ticket booth?

"And when the tempter came ... he said, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me."
