Lover's Leap

July 8

"I love them that love me ... all they that hate me love death."   Proverbs 8:17, 36

"GOD'S four letter rendering of love, is: obey."

Either we will love to hate death, or we will hate to love wisdom.  There is no riding the fence in this matter.  GOD will see to it that we leap into the arms of the one we love; and the make up of this love\hate relationship is simply profound!  It is a romance made in Heaven if both are directed properly, but a passion which consummates one day in Hell if not.

Few would confess that they hate GOD; however, in Heaven, talk is not just cheap, it is vain when spoken glibly.  "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? ... But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?"  GOD'S four letter rendering of love, is: obey.  "If ye love ME, keep MY commandments." ... and Scripture could not be any clearer, regarding the fate of those who love to hate: "If any man love not the LORD JESUS CHRIST, let him be Anathema (accursed)

Do you love wisdom personified?  "But of HIM are ye in CHRIST JESUS, WHO of GOD is made unto us wisdom ..."    What a one-sided love affair redemption is!  We curse the name of our CREATOR and SAVIOR, living our lives purposely averse to every commandment we can grasp, yet HE loves us.  "He that hateth ME hateth MY FATHER also.  If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both ME and MY FATHER."  Even when we wittingly and willfully hate HIM with a death wish hatred, HE loves us; but if ever redeeming love is personally embraced, you too will join with us in singing this hymn: "Amazing love, how can it be; that THOU my GOD, shouldst die for me ..."

"Herein is love, not that we loved GOD, but that HE loved us, and sent HIS SON to be the propitiation for our sins."

"Christianity in its enlarged sense, as a religion revealed and taught in the Bible, is part and parcel of the law of the land ..."
