Vo-Ag of Verity

"And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time ..."  Mark 4:17

"The composite of the terrain is unchanged over the centuries ..."

There are no greenhouses of grace; and nothing organic when it comes to the fruit of saving faith.  Through the eons of time, the Cain farmers have sought to graft themselves back into the garden; only to find, like him, their experimental farms rejected.  Cultivate your character all you want, even fertilize it with the 'Ten Commandments'; but apart from the blood atonement of CHRIST, it will die on the vine.  To further complicate things, there is a drought from beneath, an upheaval of Lucifer's lava, which puts constant strain upon the root system of all the religious seedbeds of self righteousness.  Universalism is the doctrine of the enduring, not the embracing; most deceiving here on Earth, and most damning there in Eternity.  The tender plants which spring up outside the fertile heart of faith in JESUS CHRIST may look real for a season; but the glasshouse they are bedded in will soon turn to the hothouse of their eternal destruction.

"Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our GOD."  Hard, stony, thorny, and fertile are the soil (heart) types mentioned in this parable of Mark chapter 4.  The composite of the terrain is unchanged over the centuries; and though difficult to assign strict percentages, the mention of four seems to hold at least some significance.  This also fits with the "few", versus the "many", theme of JESUS' preaching, regarding the saved, throughout the Gospels.  If taken at face value, one could infer a 75% failure rate in this Ag project of another dimension.  That qualifies for assistance in any farmer's almanac; but of no panic to the PRODUCER.  HE simply nurtures the seedlings of salvation to make up for lost ground; with true believers enrolled in the Vo-Ag of verity, to then assist the SAVIOR in scattering HIS seed.  Though there be a hot headwind in this wicked world against genuine Christianity which is sometimes withering; be not discouraged, it will only serve to drive your roots deeper into the soil of the SOWER.  Regarding this planting season, the Ag Counsel of highest merit advises: "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

"And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred."
