Impossibly Possible

December 26

“And Abraham said, my son, GOD will provide …”  Genesis 22:8

“… keep trekking, soon the vista will take your breath away.”

Could it be that GOD has you in a tight spot for the express purpose of glorifying HIMSELF undeniably before you and yours?  “And HE said, Take now thy son, thine only son … upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.”  Oh look and see, dear saint of self-pity, the greatest work of GOD’S own has always been launched by those HE hath tried the most.  Will you not believe that GOD only asks the impossible from those who refuse to believe that impossible is possible with HIM?  “Is any thing too hard for the LORD?”  The answer to that is found in our focus.  If we look within, we find empathy, without is despair, to others, futility; but oh the bliss of possibility when we look up!  Miracles are progressive and perpetual to the one who will not stifle them in unbelief.  Abraham would go to Mariah, and there find his son Isaac twice given, because this father denied doubt to the ONE WHO cannot fail.  Are you passing a heritage of faith or a heresy of failure down to your children?  Do you demonstrate before them that nothing is impossible with the GOD you claim?  “And Abraham rose up early in the morning …and went unto the place of which GOD had told him.”  Is there an urgency about your spiritual step to please and obey the LORD, which proves the object of your first love?  Are you known as one who will rise up and race toward the realization of all that GOD has promised you?

“The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.”  Don’t shun the mountain GOD has called you to; for from there HE both beckons, and awaits your arrival, that HE might show HIMSELF all sufficient to supply.  “But my GOD shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by CHRIST JESUS.”  Refuse to fear lil’ lamb; not only will HE provide the need, but you’ll find every want fade as well in the glory of HIS presence.  “The LORD is my SHEPHERD; I shall not want.”  The law of the mount is that the view at the foot is always forbidding; but keep trekking, soon the vista will take your breath away.

“And Abraham called the name of that place JEHOVAH-JIRAH: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.”

"We sang a psalm of Thanksgiving unto GOD, beseeching HIM that it would please HIM to continue HIS accustomed goodness towards us."
