The LORD'S Limit

August 25

"... With men it is impossible, but not with GOD: for with GOD all things are possible."  Mark 10:27

"Unbelief is the Kryptonite of CHRIST this side of judgment ..."

Unbelief is the Kryptonite of CHRIST this side of judgment; but of course, this is only temporal, and indicative of HIS patient love which desires that all men be saved.  "Yea, they turned back and tempted GOD, and limited the HOLY ONE of Israel."  Though difficult to reconcile, it is possible to render the impossibilities of GOD impotent.  The 'Self Help Study Bible', translates this passage: 'With god it is impossible, but not with men, for with men all things are possible.'  The sky is indeed our limit, but the sky is not the limit.  One day each man will discover for himself that beyond the sky, lies the limitless Throne of GOD.  "The LORD of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for HIM, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers."  For most, if JESUS is to be believed (cf. Matthew 7:13-14), this realization will dawn too late to spare them the consequence of their unbelief.  Preposterous! Impossible! ... you say?

"... think soberly, according as GOD hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."  Every embryo starts life with the standard equipment to accept GOD as HE is depicted for us in the Bible.  The gene defect of sin, however, inhibits this seed of faith which "GOD hath dealt" from taking root naturally.  The seed must have the supernatural SPIRIT of GOD as its gardener if it is ever to flourish into saving faith.  "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of GOD."  There are in the world today as well, the booming enterprises of synthetic spiritists, who taxi out their inebriated induced fantasies of the forever, but are never cleared for take-off.  "So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief."  Mental morons 'wish upon a star'; true believers take by faith HIM WHO made them.

"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living GOD. ... Abraham; who is the father of us all ... staggered not at the promise of GOD through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to GOD; and being fully persuaded that, what HE had promised, HE was able also to perform.  And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness."

For Love of Country

(Prime Minister of Great Britain)
"The destiny of mankind is not decided by material computation.  When great causes are on the move in the world ... we learn that we are spirits, not animals, and that something is going on in space and time, and beyond space and time ..."
